‘ELOTE’ OR GRILLED MEXICAN STREET CORN
Ingredients
8 corncobs peeled
vegetable oil
- 4 tablespoons of butter
- 8 tablespoons of crumbled cotija cheese
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
- 1 lime, cut into 8 segments
How to prepare? - 1. Set the Z GRILLS to approximately 150 degrees.
2. Brush the grate with oil. Use a pastry brush to do this.
3. Mix the chili powder and cayenne pepper in a small bowl.
4. Grill the corn and occasionally turn it over with pliers until cooked and slightly charred (about 10 minutes).
5. Remove the corn from the grill and immediately brush each corncob with butter.
6. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of cotija cheese and a little spice mix over each corncob.
7. Squeeze 1 slice of lime over each corncob and serve.
